I was going to ask Mike to publish this question at some point but will do so now since he has given me access to post on the Blog (YIKES, Mike! Are you crazy?). I noticed he also invited any of you to step up (and for those of you who do your best communicating through writing, please take this opportunity so Mike does not have to prod us each day to step out of our shells). I hope you do. Anyhow, on to my question:
Question: How many of you have lost, misplaced, burned, thrown out, or otherwise are missing your senior yearbook? This is not a trick question; I have a very good reason for asking, but cannot tell you if I do not get at least a representative reply from the class.

Dale, I lost my yearbook in 1972 when I left it in a friend's van and then her van blew up.
It was so wonderful to see the yearbooks again at the reunion, and if there is any chance of getting mine replaced, I would gladly pay.
By the way, I am so glad you're posting.

I have my yearbpook. It's sitting right by my computer so I can look up pictures of classmates as I read their comments on this blog. It's been fun!

I lost my yearbooks in one of my many moves over the years and if you're asking because there's a possibility that one or all four yearbooks will be reprinted I, too, will gladly pay for a set of yearbooks. I will not, however, provide any current photos of my old, fat self. - Debbie Averill Le Van
I had to use my yearbook to start a campfire after being lost for 4 days in the outback. Thank God I had my year book and my trusty zippo lighter or I would have been eating kangaroo raw. As it turned out, my W.T.W yearbook contributed to a tasty Bar-B-Q. I have no plans to go outbacking again so I won't need another one. Hope that helps Dale.

I still have mine, & used it when we Northwest WTWers started getting together a few years ago. However, I then realized my JUNIOR Year yearbook had bitten the dust somewhere--probably not in a car explosion or campfire on the outback though.
I have mine....it survived 27 years in my prone-to-flooding basement when I lived in San Diego.

My senior yearbook was damaged in a flood. I still have it but it has an unpleasant odor about it, and I might be interested in a new one.

I still have my yearbook... I get it out every five years for a good laugh... I've moved a bunch of times and it's always heavy in that book box, but I keep moving it... I did lose my class ring about 20 years ago...

I had to downsize after my second divorce, & out went yearbooks and memories. I did recently find my class ring, though ! I am on a tight budget now; so, prolly would not buy another senior year book. I don't think I am in it, anyway.

First, I'm sorry I missed the reunion. Had to take my youngest child on a college tour in North Carolina. That said, I still have my year book but haven't looked through it in at least 10 years. It sits in my basement right next to my college year book.

I lost or tossed my yearbooks, don't remember which,in one of my many moves or in one of my simplification/organization fits. More than once I have mistakenly tossed the "keep" stack instead of the "toss" stack.

my senior year, i spent trying to drop out..cutting classes and avoiding issues with my parents.
i got curious and googled other high school 40 reunions. some schools have put their older yearbooks online ?!

I still have my yearbook. It's actually on a table in the guest room along with my father's senior yearbook from West Point and my mother's senior yearbook from Carson Newman College. It makes for interesting reading now and then!
I lost my yearbook in the 70's when someone broke into our storage area in an apartment in which my mom was living.

Dale, wonderful idea, my yearbook was put in storage when my parents moved to Italy for ten years and it looked like a very old piece of cheese. Would love to replace it, gladly pay for it, let me know. sorry to miss the reunion sounded like fun, love looking at the pictures.

When my mom died in 2002, and we had to clean out the basement I weeded out some High School memories. (Those wonderful notes from HS flames were reread and chuckled over and tossed. Everyone is safe now). I did decide to discard the first 3 years but kept the Senior yearbook. I have enjoyed reading it in preparation for this latest reunion. In reading the goofy things we wrote to each other in it, I wish only we had written our last names. My feeble brain doesn’t remember now who some of these intimate friends were!

Hi Dale! I am so sorry I didn't attend the reunion. Had a very busy weekend and it didn't seem possible. I won't make that mistake next time! I would have loved to see you and Judy!
I not only have the yearbooks but I have a stack of the school newspaper Cavalcade and the Page magazine plus I have a scrapbook filled with some wildly entertaining stuff like absentee passes and overdue book notices report cards, dance books and graduation booklets. I'd be glad to scan some of this great stuff if anybody is interested in seeing it.
